A few weeks ago I reviewed the Scriptures app. I found this app and I think it is better for scripture viewing and it has some extras that the Scriptures app doesn’t have. It also has a website scripturesapp.com which you can sign up for and have an account. The account will save your annotated or marked scriptures for reference.

Features
The home screen will give you a good look at the standard works – The Old Testament, The New Testament, The Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants and The Pearl of Great Price. It also has the Hymns which you can list by category or name or find by number. It also has the Teachings of Presidents of the Church manual for this year. It will be interesting to see if they update it for the new year. The manual is listed by chapter, but doesn’t include page numbers which is frustrating when you have a teacher that uses page numbers.

You can change the font-size on the fly in the settings tab and you can do a search. The app did freeze up once for me while I was performing a search. It has a “random scripture” feature which is pretty nice and it also has a “quick flip” feature where you can pinpoint a scripture like a slot machine. Get the app here.
