Whenever Nikki and I go to my parents house, we usually end up playing Scrabble for some reason and one day we came home and sure enough there was a Scrabble App. This is the only app we have bought and we love it.
Features
One of the best features of this app is the ability to play over wifi with another person who has the app. You can also play against the computer or connect with Facebook. I assume if you have the Facebook Scrabble App it just connects to that. I have never tried it though. You can also play a solo game or a “pass n’ play” where two people play on the same device.
There are five different game types – classic, 75-point, 150-point, 8-round or 12-round. There are also three difficulties when playing the computer – easy, normal and hard. There are also two dictionaries to play from – the English TWL or Websters.
One cool feature is the “Best Word” feature. If you have a full rack of letters and can’t figure out a word, just hit “Best Word” and it will automatically find you the best possible word with the letters you have and the letters on the board.
The game features music, or you can play your own music from your music library. You can set the volume of the music and the volume of the sounds effects. You can also have game tips on for those that don’t know how to play.
The game also keeps stats from all your games. It will track your best score for a game, a single word and your best turn. It keeps track of wins, draws, losses, games played, games won and bingos.
